Okay ladies and gentlemen, here comes our second installment of things to do before and after your wax!
Today we will be discussing the importance of EXFOLIATION
First of all, what does it mean to exfoliate?
“Exfoliation is the removal of dead skin cells that collect on the outer surface of the skin. Dead skin cells are buffed off with an abrasive substance.” -Candice Johnson(Beauty and Health Editor, Kiss Magazine)
There are some crazy good benefits of exfoliating your skin.
- It keeps your skin soft and glowing
- It unclogges your pores, preventing ingrown hairs and bumps
- It speeds up natural skin renewal process, helps slow down aging of the skin
- It evens out your skin tone
When it comes to WAXING, there is no better way to prepare the skin than to exfoliate. Doing so before your wax appointment, and routinely after it, will ensure MINIMUM bumps, ingrown hairs, and irritation.
We recommend exfoliating with a sugar scrub approximately 2-3 times per week!
